Meet The Therapy Team
-
Founder.
Welcome. I'm grateful you're here.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate trauma, emotional healing, and personal growth with a compassionate, integrative approach to therapy. My clinical work is rooted in the belief that healing is possible when we are seen, supported, and empowered. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHC-S), an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDR Consultant, with advanced training in Ego State Therapy/Parts Work, trauma recovery, and attachment-focused care. My clinical focus includes complex/developmental trauma, and attachment wounds, often working with individuals seeking deeper understanding and integration of their life experiences.
My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and relational. I integrate somatic awareness, mindfulness practices, and, when helpful, my background in yoga and group fitness instruction to support clients holistically. I’ve been in the fitness and wellness industry since the age of 19, and I appreciate the connection between body, mind, and emotional wellbeing. I aim to provide a safe, respectful, and collaborative space where each person’s goals and values lead the way. Whether you're navigating a recent life change or working through longstanding challenges, therapy is always tailored to your unique needs.
With a career in the mental health field since the early 1990s, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in both direct care and leadership roles in public and private mental health settings. I opened my private practice in 2009, and later obtained my clinical supervisor license to support new professionals entering the field. As the founder of this group practice I am honored to have the opportunity to work with those who are pursuing mental health care, emotional healing, balance, and self -growth.

My name is Greta Pittman, MSW, LCSW and have been working as a clinical therapist in Wilson, NC for four years now.
Independent Therapist
Whether you are just beginning therapy for yourself or have experience with it in the past, I am so glad you are here! I strive to make this process of working on your mental health and well-being the best possible experience for you. My name is Greta Pittman, MSW, LCSW and have been working as a clinical therapist in Wilson, NC for four years now. Here is some information about myself in hopes that you choose to work with me.
I found this vocation by sheer fate and am very passionate about my work and helping those from all walks of life, whatever your story may be! A little of my story is that after growing up here in Wilson, NC I attended the University of South Carolina for undergrad. At the beginning of this process I thought I wanted to be a nurse with my parents both being in the medical field. As many humans can relate to, things did not go as planned and ended up in my first Social Work class. My life was forever changed. I discovered my calling in this profession of helping people and cherish every day that I get to work with people in some of their happiest moments in their lives but also some of the darkest.
After completing my Bachelors Degree in Social Work I attended East Carolina University for graduate school in hopes to bring my work home with me to help those in my beloved community of Wilson. After attaining my Master’s in Social Work I knew working with individuals, families, and couples in therapy was where my passion lies.
So far in my career I have counseled those from all walks of life and I like to think I take a unique approach in counseling. Therapy is a very sacred space for all involved and I put a great deal of importance in developing a strong client therapist relationship and to build rapport. I try and be very intentional with myself but you will find that I may be more laid back and free spirited than your average therapist. I utilize self disclosure when appropriate but work to ensure that the therapeutic relationship stays within very healthy boundaries of my Social Work code of ethics. This includes
1. Service
2. Social justice
3. Dignity and worth of the person
4. Importance of human relationships
5. Integrity
6. Competence
I also pride myself in specializing in trauma work as an EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy) trained therapist.
When not at work I love to travel, attend concerts, weekends at the beach, scuba dive, go hiking, and I try to exercise as much as I can for my own mental health. I have been married just over a year now to my wonderful husband Tas and our family includes two cats and a dog.
So that is enough about me… I cannot wait to hear about you! As a people person to the core I will do everything I can to make this process comfortable and meaningful for you. I thank you for your time and most importantly for taking this time to work on yourself. For more questions feel free to contact me via phone or e-mail.*Independent contractor therapists

My name is Alex Bass, LCMHC and I have been working as a therapist for the past four years.
Independent Therapist
I received my undergraduate degree in Biology from Western Carolina University. During my senior year, I realized that I was unable to see a career in this field and sought guidance from those who knew me best. They highlighted my natural tendency to support my family, friends, and those who crossed my path by providing space for them process whatever they were going through. During my last semester, I ended up in an undergraduate counseling class and fell in love. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina in 2019 and become a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in 2020. I moved to New York and worked with children and adolescents in foster care for two years. I discovered my passion for working with children, adolescents, and their families. I continued my education and became certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to assist in processing and moving through trauma. I have additional training in various play therapy interventions. I moved back to North Carolina in 2022 and became a LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor). I continue to work with children, adolescents, and their families as they navigate transitions, family conflict, and behavioral concerns. I have worked with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, and ODD.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and drums, reading, drawing, and hiking throughout the mountains. My clients can expect to be met with patience, authenticity, non-judgment, and trust during sessions. Thank you for your time in getting to know me and I hope to get the chance to work with you!

Then I attended East Carolina University for graduate school where I received a Master’s in Social Work in 2018. My philosophy is centered around empowerment, aiming to equip each client with the tools they need to face their challenges and enhance their overall well-being. I like to think of therapy as an individual journey, so I employ a range of techniques to address the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of each client. I believe in taking a holistic, trauma-informed, and client centered approach to each therapeutic relationship I develop with my clients. I pull from Person-Centered Counseling, Adlerian, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques while working with my clients to create a therapeutic experience specific to your needs.
I have experience working with a variety of clients ranging in ages from childhood to middle adulthood. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity exploration, time management, history of trauma, relationship issues, and more.
I moved to the Wilson NC area in 2021 but spent my life before that in the hills and valleys of Western New York near Buffalo (Go Bills!). I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St Bonaventure University in December of 2020, and then earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling also from St Bonaventure University in May of 2024. I knew from a young age I wanted to be a therapist to be able to help people struggling. I have always been a natural empath and saw how various mental health challenges impacted myself and also the people around me that I cared for, so it felt natural that I enter this helping profession.
When I am not in sessions I enjoy baking, listening to the Morbid True Crime Podcast, reading/listening to books, spending far too much time scrolling online, and spending time with my husband, cat, and dog.
